While writing a short story I spelled "prestidigitation" correctly on the first try. That doesn't make me a real writer. What makes me a real writer is that it put me in a good mood all morning!
One of my articles just came out online. Check out the latest issue of Funds for Writers and read my Mediocre Photographer’s Guide to Professional Photography.
Home to author Sean McLachlan and the House Divided series of Civil War horror novels. A Fine Likeness, the first in the series, is available now. This blog is dedicated to the Trans-Mississippi Civil War and historical fiction, and occasionally veers off into adventure travel when I go somewhere interesting.
Looking for more from Sean McLachlan? He also hangs out on the Midlist Writer blog, where he talks about writing, adventure travel, caving, and everything else he gets up to. He also reproduces all the posts from Civil War Horror, so drop on by!

Some smart tips. Never thought about doing photography. And I thought the Ethiopian castle shot was great.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the article. Lots of reminders and updates.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
Went to Hope's to read the article (I get her newsletter, too). Very well written. I notice more and more people are wanting to offer or sell their photographs now. Photography is a constant pleasure for me, and I never tire of seeing how others frame the world. Thanks for all those tips, Sean!
ReplyDeleteI'm less surprised that you could spell prestidigitation correctly (I have faith in you!), than that you're using it in a story. Hmm...
ReplyDeleteHi Sean .. great thoughts over on 'Funds for Writers' .. and as you say an extra source of income ...
ReplyDeleteI enjoy putting photos into my blog to enhance each post - and I don't use FlickR .. but must check it out ..
Thanks for sending us across .. cheers Hilary
Absolutely! I would definitely need to rely on spellcheck or some googling for that one!
