I don't thin...I like the first one best.
Why?
I don't think your name stands out enough when included with the subtitle in italics. In a different font, the name is more evident. I find the colour distracts, as does the genre header 'dark fantasy'. (Of course, it depends on what type of effect you want- historical/mystical or dark fantasy.) D.G. I think it can come up with some decent-looking versions of what you've got here, but with more options.Jack Badelairehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10932441028544500024noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8498840600741973651.post-29215435838782995202013-05-08T13:31:20.256-05:002013-05-08T13:31:20.256-05:00I would focus on the cover art, the title, and you...I would focus on the cover art, the title, and your name, and nothing else. I wouldn't say "a dark fantasy novella" on the cover, and I'd also skip the "by".

Does it give you the option of putting your name above the artwork in larger letters?

Also, how long is it? I'd avoid using "novella" anywhere in the description, and if you have to, just use the term "short novel". Amazon et al can give at least estimated word counts, which I think is more than sufficient.Jack Badelairehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10932441028544500024noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8498840600741973651.post-7329963155090220292013-05-08T13:27:57.024-05:002013-05-08T13:27:57.024-05:00Except I need to fix that spacing problem between ...Except I need to fix that spacing problem between the subhead and the byline!Sean McLachlanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09778503397743759469noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8498840600741973651.post-3925192789663699502013-05-08T13:21:36.309-05:002013-05-08T13:21:36.309-05:00I like the third one best.I like the third one best.Alex J.
